I currently have a Seagate Baracuda ATA IV 20 gb hard drive ? - seagate ata hard drive
At the moment I have a hard drive ATA IV 20 GB Seagate Baracuda hard and I am delighted that, with another drive to replace internal hard drive. I have some online, but I'm not sure what the right to buy. And do not want a SATA or IDE? Or is the work PATA?. I'm pretty sure that the SATA will not work. I need someone to enlighten me? Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated

PATA is the same as IDE. SATA is a technology, and if your current drive is 20 GB, almost guaranteed not to get IDE / PATA, for what is right, a SATA drive (which is incompatible).
If your motherboard has SATA connectors, you should go with SATA faster than IDE / PATA a little and there is less noise from the PATA is a SATA cable, but it is much thinner. Check your motherboard to ensure that you SATA connectors before you buy a SATA hard drive, however.
So hard to tell what your computer ... without knowing the specifications. However, I can make a guess about the information provided.
The IDE support team ... Pata is the same IDE.

You should definitely an IDE in this case.
