My kitchen ceiling has been leaking for several hours, and from what I read, is because of an ice dam. I looked outside and the snow is packed on our roof, lots of ice on the road, and many ice falls. I read that it helps to get rid of someone who has the ice with a kick just outside our roof, because it can cause other problems. So before you get on the prevention of a dam when the snow melted, I was asked if there is anything I can do when the ice melts and flows into the kitchen? (the warmer today) I am afraid that the ceiling is majorly damaged soon! I read that it would be nice, a heated rooftop would be better if converting more heat into the house?
